Description
Two extended-reach horizontal Powder River Basin Niobrara producers were completed by Chesapeake Energy Corp. from a drillpad in the Combs Ranch (Deep) Unit in Converse County, Wyo. Located in Section 7-33n-70w, #7-33-70 USA B 5H Combs Ranch initially flowed 2.454 MMcf of gas, 499 bbl of 59.4-degree-gravity condensate and 1.043 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral in Niobrara extending from 9,207 ft to the northwest to 20,612 ft. It bottomed in Section 1-33n-71w and the true vertical depth is 11,200 ft. It was tested on a 22/64-in. choke following a 34-stage fracturing and acid cleanup between 11,387 and 19,940 ft. The #7-33-70 USA B 1H Combs Ranch flowed 3.4 MMcf of gas, 1.070 Mbbl of condensate and 198 bbl of water per day. It was tested on a 30/64-in. choke following a 39-stage fracturing and acidizing between 11,320 and 20,786 ft. The Niobrara lateral extends from 9,225 ft to the northwest to 20,983 ft with a bottom-hole location in Section 1-33n-71w. The true vertical depth is 11,241 ft.
