Description
A Dunn County, N.D., Three Forks discovery was announced by Oklahoma City-based Continental Resources Inc. The Cedar Coulee Field well, #4-28H1 Carus, is in Section 28-147n-96w. It was tested flowing 1,063 bbl of oil, 1.418 MMcf of gas and 1,299 bbl of water per day. The venture was drilled to 22,087 ft and the true vertical depth is 11,480 ft and production is from perforations at 11,909-22,087 ft. Tested on a 30/64-inch choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 7,564 psi and the flowing casing pressure was 756 psi.
