Description

Two horizontal Woodford producers were announced by Canyon Creek Energy Operating at an Arkoma Basin pad in Coal County, Okla. The #1-8/17/20H Kilo is in Section 9-3n-10e and was tested on a 128/64-in. choke flowing 4.2 MMcf of gas, 24 bbl of 42-degree-gravity oil and 2.2 Mbbl of water per day. The flowing tubing pressure was 280 psi. It was drilled to 18,232 ft and bottomed about 2.5 miles west in Section 8, then south approximately 2.5 miles across Section 17 and bottomed in Section 20-3n-10e. It was perforated and fractured at 6,325-18,096 ft. The true vertical depth is 5,723 ft. About 15 ft south on the pad, #1-8/5 Kilo initially flowed 3.5 MMcf of gas and 2.4 Mbbl of water per day. It was drilled to 12,200 ft, 5,808 ft true vertical, and production is from fractured perforations in Woodford at 6,332-7,020 ft, Mississippian at 7,020-7,330 and Woodford at 7,330-12,069 ft. It was drilled to the north and bottomed in Section 5-3n-10e. Gauged on a 128/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 260 psi. Canyon Creek is based in Tulsa.
