Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Maersk Oil, based in Copenhagen, has found oil in the Carambola B exploration well in Block BM-C-37 in Campos Basin, Brazil. The well was drilled in 425 ft. of water and hydrocarbons were encountered in the objective Albian carbonates. The preliminary estimate indicates up to 56 ft. of potential net pay. A logging program including coring, pressure measurements and hydrocarbon sampling was performed but the company indicated that further work is now required to assess productivity.
