Description

An extended-reach horizontal well in Buffalo Wallow Field was reported by Unit Petroleum Co. The discovery, #3H Francis 5713 EXL, is in Section 58, Block M-1, H&GN Survey, A-1381, in Hemphill County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The well flowed 9.33 MMcf of gas, with 42 bbl of 45-degree-gravity oil and 5.227 Mbbl of water per day. The 21,038-ft well has a true vertical depth of 13,308 ft and bottomed to the north in Section 13, Block 4, AB&M Survey, A-8. Production is from a fracture-stimulated interval of Des Moines Granite Wash G between 13,207 and 21,038 ft. The shut-in tubing pressure was 4,013 psi and the flowing tubing pressure was 2,763 psi during testing on a 128/64-in choke. Unit’s headquarters are in Tulsa.
