BP Plc is drilling another development test as part of the company’s Mad Dog Field expansion. The test is in Green Canyon Block 825 at #8 OCS G09982. It is expected to bottom east in Green Canyon Block 826. Area water depth is 4,900 ft. In addition, the company intends to place a second production facility in the area — the Argos floating production unit is scheduled for the southwestern portion of Block 825.
