Description
According to IHS Markit, BP Plc has completed the southernmost well in East Texas’ Carthage Field. In the Angelina County (RRC Dist. 6) portion of the reservoir, #3HB Denali Gas Unit flowed 9.694 MMcf of gas and 144 bbl of water from a fracture-treated Haynesville Shale zone at 16,124-21,234 ft. Tested on a 14/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 1,264 psi. The well was drilled to 21,427 ft (16,288 ft true vertical) in H.T. King Survey, A-1104 and the horizontal lateral bottomed about 1.5 miles to the north in Eli Gilliland Survey, A-281.
