Description

Bopco LP announced results from a Delaware Basin horizontal Bone Spring discovery in Eddy County, N.M. The #163H James Ranch Unit DI 1 flowed 1,196 bbl of 40.9-degree-gravity oil, 1 MMcf of gas and 604 bbl of water per day. Production is from an acid- and fracture-treated interval in Second Bone Spring Sand at 10,792-18,581 ft. Tested on a 26/64-in. choke, the shut-in tubing pressure was 740 psi. The venture is in Section 21-22s-30e and it was drilled to 18,581 ft. The lateral bottomed about two mile to the east-southeast beneath Section 23. From an offsetting surface location, the Midland, Texas-based company completed #126H James Ranch Unit D11 in 2013 pumping 876 bbl of oil, 1.9 MMcf of gas and 923 bbl of water, from a fracture-treated Second Bone Spring interval at 12,781-22,593 ft. The 22.503-ft well is in Section 21-22s-30e.
