A Sibley Field-Haynesville Shale discovery was reported by Brix Operating. The Bienville Parish, La., well, #1-Alt BFW Properties 32-29HC, was tested flowing 16.926 MMcf of gas per day from fracture-stimulated perforations at 13,912-21,995 ft. Drilled to 22,000 ft (13,885 ft true vertical), the venture is in Section 5-16n-9w, and it bottomed within 2 miles to the north in Section 32-17n-9w in Webster Parish. Gauged on a 16/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 9,604 psi. Brix is based in Houston.
