Description

IHS Markit reported that a horizontal Barnett Shale well has been completed in Clay County (RRC Dist. 9), Texas, by Bra-De Oil & Gas Operating LLC. The Montague, Texas-based company’s #1H Orton A produced 919 Mcf of gas, 112 bbl of 43.6-degree-gravity oil and 966 bbl of water per day. The Newark East Field well was drilled to 13,365 ft, 6,972 ft true vertical, on a 561.2-acre Fort Worth Basin lease in Section 2804, TE&L Co Survey, A-535. The lateral bottomed about 1 mile to the southeast in Section 2819, TE&L Survey, A-1494 in Montague County. It was tested on a 1-in. choke and the flowing tubing pressure was 250 psi. Acid- and fracture-stimulated perforations are at 6,610-13,325 ft.
