Australian Worldwide Exploration is underway at appraisal well #1-Waitsia in the Perth Basin of Western Australia. The venture is in Production Licenses L1/L2. Initial testing has shown elevated gas in multiple zones within the conventional reservoirs in Kingia and High Cliff. A secondary target is the sandstone reservoirs of the Irwin River Coal Measures. Cores have been cut and wireline testing is planned. Perth-based Australian Worldwide holds a 50% share in the license along Origin Energy.
