Description
Valeura Energy spudded appraisal well #1-Devepinar in Turkey's Thrace Basin to test the lateral extent of the basin-centered gas accumulation play on the western side of the basin. It has a planned depth of 4,900 m and downhole logging and coring are planned. The well is west of the field discovery venture, #1-Inanli, which produced from four intervals in a 1,615-m section after multi-stage reservoir stimulation and flow testing. Calgary-based Valeura is operator of the West Thrace Exploration License and the well with 31.5% in the deep rights, with Equinor holding 50% and Pinnacle the remaining 18.5%.
