Description
Algeria's state-owned Sonatrach reported two oil and gas discoveries in Blocks 239a and 244a in the Tinrhert area of the Illizi Basin, Algeria. According to E&P Daily, #2-Akamil on Block 239a flowed 600 bbl. of oil per day with 115 psi wellhead pressure through a 32/64-in. choke from the Upper Devonian F2 formation between 6,431-54 ft. The #2-Antar Est on Block 244a flowed gas at a rate of around 6.8 million cu. ft. per day and 555 bbl. per day of condensate from the same formation. Sonatrach reported that the wellhead pressure was 1,600 psi on a 32/64-in.choke.
