Rich Eichler

 

Richard A. Eichler, President and Chief Executive Officer , joined Hart Energy Publishing (then Hart Publications, Inc.) in 1985. Mr. Eichler has held various senior level publishing positions within Hart, including publisher of its flagship magazine, Oil and Gas Investor, for more than eight years. Serving as President since 1999, he was responsible for the successful management buyout of Hart Energy Publishing from Chemical Week Associates/VSS Communication Partners in 2004. Today, Mr. Eichler oversees business operations and strategic direction for Hart's worldwide enterprise. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States (IPAMS), and serves on the board of directors of the Energy Cup Foundation, Spindletop Oilfield Charities,
Northwest Houston Chapter of the American Heart Association, and Petroleum Club of Houston, among others.

 

   
   

Frederick L. Potter

 

Frederick L. Potter, Executive Vice President , founded Hart Downstream Energy Services in 1981 and continues to direct its staff of consultants, strategists and analysts specializing in legislative, regulatory and market developments affecting the worldwide fuels industry. The White House, Congress, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Department of Energy have all called upon Mr. Potter to provide information and analysis on motor fuel and related refining and air quality issues. He is one of the world's leading motor-fuel and renewable ethanol market analysts, currently chairs the United Nations working group on Alternative Octane, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington Center for Internships, whosemission is developing the workforce of the future and encouraging all of its participants to be informed, public-spirited and civically engaged.

 

   
   

Kevin F. Higgins

 

Kevin F. Higgins, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer , joined Hart Energy Publishing in March 2004. Prior to joining Hart, Mr. Higgins had served as Chief Financial Officer for Chemical Week Associates since 1992. Currently, Mr. Higgins serves on the Hart Energy Publishing Board of Directors and is responsible for and oversees all aspects of the financial, IT and human resources of the company. He graduated from Hofstra University in 1984, obtained his CPA certificate in 1986 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants.

 

   
   

E. Kristine Klavers

 

E. Kristine Klavers, Vice President, Hart Energy Consulting. Born in Oslo, Norway, E. Kristine Klavers obtained a master's degree in chemical engineering at the University of Twente, Netherlands. During her master’s study, she
developed a new catalyst formethane coupling at the Tokyo Institute of Technology that was bought for patent application by Idemitsu Oil Co. Prior to joining Hart in 1996, she worked in the Oxygenate Business Management for ARCO
Chemicals Inc. in the U.K. (1991-1994) and as a process engineer for Japanese Gasoline Co. (JGC) in Japan (1994-1996). While with JGC, Klavers led many hazard and operability analysis (HAZOP) teams for refining, lube-oil, gasprocessing
and power-generation projects. She has been a guest lecturer at the Oxford Institute of Petroleum and Oxford University. Klavers directs all operational and business development aspects of Hart Energy Consulting.
