Now in its thirty-sixth year, the Special Meritorious Awards for Engineering Innovation are the industry’s oldest and most widely respected awards. The MEAs are truly the “Oscars” of the petroleum industry. They annually honor the world’s best new tools and techniques for finding, developing and producing hydrocarbons.

 

MEA entries are judged on their game-changing significance, both technically and economically. Judges are experienced industry personnel from around the world. Judges are respected professionals with engineering and technical backgrounds and extensive knowledge of the categories they are judging.

 

As custodians of this industry tradition, Hart Energy Publishing and E&P magazine work very hard to ensure that winners are selected strictly on the basis of their merit. It should be noted that the awards are given to technologies, not companies. There is also no cost to enter.
